Running in Málaga centers on the flat beachfront promenade along the Mediterranean and inland park loops, with the Carrera Solidaria Ruta 091 Málaga a fixture for local runners. Cyclists have more compelling terrain: the Bokerón Bike (68km) and Gran Premio El Sexmo Más Mujer (33km) head inland toward the Montes de Málaga and the hill country around Álora, where you gain 600–800m of elevation on limestone climbs 20–40km from the city. The nearest serious training ground is the Sierra de las Nieves, roughly 40km north.
