Marató dels Dements 2026

Marató dels Dements is a mountain race held in Eslida and Aín, villages within Castellón’s Sierra de Espadán. As the final event of the SkyRunner World Series, the weekend focuses international skyrunning attention on this rural area of Valencia. Participants can select from two primary distances, approximately 23 kilometers or 43 kilometers, with limited entries for each race. The primary race begins in Eslida, leading participants into the Serra d'Espadà Natural Park. It utilizes the steep terrain surrounding the villages, diverging from a city-road marathon style. Both well-known runners and dedicated mountain specialists compete, making it more than just an elite competition. The organizers collaborate with park authorities, structuring the event around environmental responsibility, local tourism, and a sustainable approach to introducing visitors to the region.
