Marbella Epic Trail

About this race
The Marbella Epic Trail begins before dawn at 5:00 a.m. on Marbella’s Mediterranean promenade. From the coast, runners head directly into the Sierra Blanca mountains overlooking the city. This is a 65 km mountain trail race featuring 5,000 meters of elevation gain. Typically held in February, the event has a participant limit of 200. The course is designed for seasoned trail runners, not casual road racers, offering a long day on steep terrain with a 19-hour time limit. Aid stations are located at approximately 13.5, 20.7, 29, 36, 46, and 54 km.
The route crosses seaside, forest, and mountain landscapes. It includes exposed ridges, trails that feel suspended, and high vantage points with views across Andalusia. Key locations on the course are Picacho de Castillejos, El Cerezal Botanical Park, Mirador del Corzo, Mirador del Macho Montés, Cruz de Juanar, Pico del Tajo Negro, Cerro del Lastonar, and the summit of La Concha. The finish line is at Fuerte de Nagüeles. To complement the challenging course, participants receive a technical welcome kit. Finishers are awarded a medal and a premium gift. The finish area provides physiotherapists, showers, changing rooms, and a gourmet barbecue.
