Media Maratón Costa Barcelona Maresme 2026

The Media Maratón Costa Barcelona Maresme is an autumn half marathon held along the Maresme coast north of Barcelona. It starts in Pineda de Mar at Plaza del Sol and finishes in Calella. Gesport organizes the race, with supervision from the Catalan Athletics Federation. This is the seventeenth edition, anticipating over 1,000 participants, positioning it as a substantial coastal race with organized mass participation. The route is a flat, 21.1 km urban course near the sea, connecting Pineda de Mar, Santa Susanna, and Malgrat de Mar before concluding in Calella. Designed for consistent pacing and quick times, eight pacers will target finish times from 1:25 to 2:00, with a 2:30 time limit. Aid stations providing liquids are located at 5 km, 10 km, 16 km, and the finish. A complimentary cloakroom is available near the start. The participants include competitive runners aiming for category prizes, club athletes, and individuals seeking a personal best on the flat coastal path. Local residents, families, and volunteers offer support along the course.
