About this race

The Milla Sagrada Familia is a one-mile road race in Barcelona, run each year on Mallorca street beside the Sagrada Familia basilica. The full distance is 1,609 meters, making it short, fast, and easy for spectators to follow in the streets around the temple. The race also carries the names Trofeo Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona and Gran Premi Gaudí SPORT, and Fundació Claror has organized it since 1985. The event is split into age-based series rather than one single mass start, allowing children, adults, competitive runners, and casual participants to fit into the same race day. Under-10 runners use a half-distance circuit, while adapted races for families and children with reduced mobility can be as short as 20, 30, 50, or 200 meters. This inclusive setup distinguishes it from a standard city mile: the race maintains its middle-distance identity while accommodating people of different ages, genders, and physical conditions.
