Montjuïc Tibidabo 2026

Montjuïc Tibidabo is a Barcelona race with options from 10 kilometers up to a half marathon. The name points to two of the city’s high landmarks: Montjuïc, above the port side of Barcelona, and Tibidabo, the mountain at the edge of the Collserola range. The available distances make it more flexible than a single-format road race, with shorter runners and half-marathon runners sharing the same event setup. The Tibidabo side gives the race its most distinctive backdrop. The summit has an amusement park and the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, and it is linked to Plaça del Doctor Andreu by the Tibidabo Funicular, a 1,130-meter electric line that climbs 275 meters at gradients up to 25.7%. The funicular opened in 1901, later moved from wooden cars to metal trainsets, and now runs articulated vehicles carrying 252 people.
