San Silvestre Antequerana is a New Year's Eve running event held in Antequera, Andalusia. It starts and finishes in Plaza del Coso Viejo. The event begins in the late afternoon with music and entertainment in the square, followed by two races: a 5 km competitive run and a 1.6 km non-competitive fun run. The Asociación Resurgir Proyecto Humano organizes it with the Antequera town council, and this is its twelfth edition.
Both routes traverse Antequera's main streets, a city often associated with El Torcal. The short distances accommodate runners seeking a timed race and families or groups wanting a New Year's Eve fun run. The event also engages with local community life. For one edition, Club Balonmano Los Dólmenes Antequera acted as race godparents, DCOOP and Grupo Sancho Melero sponsored it, and over 100 companies supported the initiative. Costumes and themes contribute to the atmosphere, with video games selected as a theme for one edition.
