Subida Pedestre al Santuario Virgen de la Sierra is an uphill race in Cabra, Córdoba province, Andalusia, held on All Saints’ Day. Participants begin at the arches on Calle Baena and ascend 14.3 kilometers to the Santuario de la Virgen de la Sierra, gaining approximately 770 meters on a route combining asphalt and dirt. A walking option is also available, making the day accessible to more than just competitive runners.
The race is a long-standing event on the provincial running calendar, now in its thirty-ninth edition, and is part of the Córdoba Provincial Circuit of Popular Races. Cabra Running organizes it with support from the town council. Recent editions have attracted around 200 participants, while earlier ones saw about 300. Its appeal is straightforward: a town start, a consistent climb over mixed terrain, and a finish at the sanctuary near midday on a local holiday.
