About this race
Subida Peña Cabarga is a traditional mountain foot race up Peña Cabarga. Runners start at 10:30 AM for a challenging 6,000-meter climb. The course leads to Pico Llen, presenting a straightforward challenge: six kilometers of uphill running instead of a flat road race.
Approximately 200 athletes participated in the forty-third edition. Andrés Acebo won the men's race in 27:24, securing his fourth win and finishing half a minute ahead of Ricardo Lanza, a two-time winner. Verónica Tabares claimed the women's race victory for the first time.
