Trail Montroig Extreme 2026

Trail Montroig Extreme starts in Sant Llorenç de Montgai, a village in Lleida’s Noguera region, featuring steep trail races around the Sant Llorenç reservoir. The event provides multiple distances: an 8 km, a 14 km Sprint, a 21.4 km half marathon, and the 41.2 km Marató. The Marató involves a 2,800-metre ascent and 5,600 metres of total elevation change. The courses traverse the rugged terrain surrounding the reservoir, offering runners a varied landscape of water, rock walls, ascents, and mountain paths, distinct from a typical forest loop. Over 700 participants are anticipated. The location offers more than just the race: the reservoir is a protected wetland for water birds, the cliffs attract climbers, and nearby attractions include the Cagate Lorito via ferrata, the Neanderthal site La Roca dels Blus, and the Sant Llorenç de Montgai Archaeological Park.
