Transgrancanaria is an annual mountain ultramarathon on Gran Canaria in Spain's Canary Islands, held since 2003. Its main Classic race crosses the island from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the north to Maspalomas in the south, covering approximately 126-128 km with about 7,000 meters of elevation gain. The series also offers shorter options on the same terrain: an Advanced race of about 80-82 km, a marathon around 42-47 km, a Half, a Promo race, youth and family trails, and KV El Gigante, a steep Vertical Kilometer in the Agaete and Tamadaba region.
The course transitions from coastal city streets into Gran Canaria's mountains before descending toward the southern finish near the Faro de Maspalomas. Routes have frequently incorporated locations like Pico de las Nieves, Roque Nublo, ravines, technical trails, and faster runnable sections, indicating the race is more than just a long climb or a straightforward point-to-point run. Elite trail runners from numerous countries compete in the Classic, which awards Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc points and is part of the World Trail Majors circuit. Arista Eventos organizes the event, with Joma as its current technical sponsor.
