Travessia Port de Gandia is a 2.6 km open-water swim at Gandía Beach on Spain’s Valencian coast, typically held in mid-August with a morning start. The race begins on Paseo Marítimo Neptuno, near the port breakwater entrance, and concludes at Varadero Beach.
The event, also known as Volta a l’escullera de Gandia, references the breakwater as the route’s primary landmark. NiE Gandia organizes it with support from Gandia’s city council. It is part of several regional circuits, including Safor Valldigna, Marina Alta open-water racing, the FNCV crossing circuit, and Alicante’s Liga de Travesías. Categories range from children to older adult swimmers, ensuring a diverse field beyond just elite competitors.
