Vertical de Güímar 2026

Vertical de Güímar is a short, steep mountain race starting in Puertito de Güímar on Tenerife. Runners tackle 4.5 km with 500 meters of elevation gain, making the race straightforward: ascend directly from the coast into the natural terrain of the Güímar municipality. It is part of the Canary Islands vertical-race calendar and attracts participants from across the island. The event honors the memory of Paquito Chinea, adding local significance to the day beyond the ascent itself.
