Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat brings children's athletics to local sports fields throughout Finland, hosting over 500 meets annually with more than 25,000 young participants. This is a low-barrier local competition series for children and teenagers, primarily aged 5 to 15, supported by Metsä Group and the Finnish Athletics Federation. The focus is not on elite competition, but on providing a secure and enjoyable environment for children to sample various athletics disciplines and establish a routine of physical activity. The series spans the entire country, allowing families to find a local meet without extensive travel. Competition days are family-oriented occasions where children participate and parents can assist with organizational tasks. Metsä Group has been the title partner since the early 2020s, aiming to enhance daily well-being and promote a healthy, active lifestyle for children and young people.
