About this race
The 10 km de la Voie verte is a 10 km race in Deux-Sèvres, running between Fénery and Châtillon-sur-Thouet near Parthenay. It uses a standard road-running distance, with a separate 10 km Nordic walk starting before the runners. The event is local in scale; organizers anticipate over 150 participants, with entries often remaining low until the final week due to late sign-ups.
The route follows the voie verte path between the two villages, offering a point-to-point course rather than laps within a town. Runners share the event with Nordic walkers. Local club runners have featured in the results, such as Valentine Jadeau Sibileau of TCG 79, a past first female finisher. The race has also had a stop-start history, returning after a ten-year break, with organization transferring from Jog'Gâtine to Cap, the Club athlétique parthenaisien.
