The 10 km de Saucats is a winter road race held in Saucats, Gironde, France. The main event covers 10 km, with a 5 km race, a 5 km walk, and children’s races also taking place that morning. USCS Athlétisme organizes the event, which marks the beginning of the Challenge Montesquieu. Consequently, many participants use it as an early-season test rather than solely a casual fun run.
The route follows the Baudes circuit. Organizers characterize it as selective, demanding more from runners than a flat, easy course designed for personal bests. The race has been held for over 35 years, increasing from just over 100 starters in its first year to more than 800 runners in some editions. Amateur runners, experienced club athletes, and visitors from further afield participate, while youth races offer younger age groups their own distances after the adult events.
