About this race
The 10K de Montmartre is a 10 km road race through Paris’s 18th arrondissement, run in January as an early challenge after the new year. This is not a flat city run along broad boulevards: the Montmartre route packs in 153 metres of climbing, paved side streets, and a hill profile that asks runners to manage their legs and breathing from early on. AG2R La Mondiale sponsors the race, and the tone is relaxed enough for people to run at their own pace rather than treat the day as an elite-only test.
The course uses Montmartre’s most familiar ingredients: cobblestones, small streets, cafes, artist-country atmosphere, and the climb toward the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. A fan zone sits just before the main ascent, which is useful timing on a route designed to sting the thighs. The finish is on Rue Ordener by the town hall of the 18th arrondissement, giving the race a proper neighborhood ending rather than a generic city-center finish.
