21 km de Dour 2027

The 21 km de Dour is a road half marathon held in Dour, Belgium. Alongside the full 21.0975 km distance, there is also a shorter 8 km race. It is part of the 21KM.be challenge and is considered one of the most difficult races in that series. The half marathon is noted for its most technical course. Though the event is only five years old, it attracts a large field, with approximately 3,000 runners participating in a recent edition. The route crosses Dour and its environs exclusively on roads. It is not a course suited for an easy, flat run. Participants face frequent accelerations, ascents, and changes in pace, making strategy, focus, and consistent effort as critical as outright speed. The 8 km race is presented as very quick, offering a faster option to the challenging half marathon. Aid stations are positioned along the route, and the finish takes place at a new sports complex.
