The Agglo City Run is a March race series held around Grand Annecy. Participants, including runners and Nordic walkers, travel between Annecy, Argonay, and nearby communes. The event features two road race distances: 12.2 km and 16 km, with corresponding Nordic walking routes. While classified as an urban race, it is not exclusively on pavement; approximately half the course consists of gravel paths, stairs, and tunnels. The race concludes in Annecy.
The 12.2 km course follows the Fier river through Cran-Gevrier and Meythet before approaching the lake. The initial 3 km are largely downhill, with a total elevation drop of about 90 meters. The 16 km Super Agglo follows the same initial path but extends through areas like Seynod and La Visitation. This longer route connects Argonay, Pringy, Metz-Tessy, Annecy, and Annecy-le-Vieux. The Nordic walks share these courses, permit pole use, and are chip-timed without official rankings, positioning them as more of a group walk than a competitive event. Vaness Events organizes the race, which has attracted over 400 participants in previous years.
