About this race
The Aiguilles trail des neiges in Réallon is a winter snow trail race held at the Réallon resort in the Hautes-Alpes. Runners begin from the snow front as evening arrives. This is a semi-night run, distinct from typical dry-trail events, indicated by the required gear: trail shoes with anti-skid chains, a headlamp, a survival blanket, water, and a mobile phone. Action 05 and the Chorges Trail Club organize the event, with bib pickup at Salle Rama preceding the early-evening start.
The Fond Renarde course spans 9 km with 300 m of elevation gain. It departs the resort’s snow front, heading toward the valley edges via snowy forest paths. The return route follows the Vaucluse piste and the sentier des Oiseaux before descending back to the station. The Serre Mouton route offers a longer option of 14 km with 550 m of elevation gain. Finishers receive refreshments and a choice of mulled wine or a soft drink. Croziflette can be reserved during registration for participants or guests. The time limit for the short race is 1 hour 45 minutes, with awards presented later that evening.
