Aux filles de l'eau - Magné 2027

About this race

Les Filles de l'eau is a women-only 7 km race held in Magné, a village in Deux-Sèvres, western France. It was established near International Women's Day to provide a space where women could try racing without feeling observed or judged, catering to both regular competitors and curious newcomers. The 7 km distance is intentionally accessible, and the event includes a two-person relay option, allowing younger girls in the minime category to participate. The course is flat and fast, featuring sections along the Sèvre river and through Magné's center. Entreprendre Au Féminin 79 assisted in the race's inception, with Magné Sports subsequently managing its organization. Participants range from club runners and teenagers to families and small groups running together. The race has also seen notable front-runners, including Nathalie Barriquand of US Aigrefeuille, a frequent podium finisher, and Pauline Nouzille, who has also been among the leading competitors.
