The Bar-sur-Aube Running Race takes place in June on the roads of Bar-sur-Aube, located in France’s Grand Est region. Participants can choose between 5K and 10K distances. Both races commence and conclude at the Cosec, situated on Rue Pierre de Coubertin. The course is straightforward: asphalt surfaces, minimal elevation gain, and a town-centric route distinct from trail or mountain running.
The 5K route features approximately 2 metres of elevation gain, while the 10K covers the same circuit twice, accumulating about 4 metres of gain. Runners will traverse the streets of Bar-sur-Aube, follow paths alongside tranquil riverbanks, and approach the initial slopes of the Champagne region. The 5K is accessible to individuals aged 14 and older, and the 10K to those aged 16 and above. This running event coincides with the Bar-sur-Aube Cycling Race, lending a minor multi-sport character to the weekend, despite the races being standard road runs.
