The Bike and Run d'Amiens Métropole, organized by Amiens Triathlon, is a run-and-bike event held in Amiens' Parc du Grand Marais. As an FFTRI-labeled race, it offers five distinct formats instead of a single distance. The schedule features XS races for youth and adults, 2 km and 4 km children's races, and a 14 km S race, accommodating families, juniors, beginners, and more experienced teams.
Run and bike is contested in pairs, with two teammates sharing one bicycle and switching as they choose, requiring them to finish together. The Amiens course incorporates park paths, towpaths, and rougher terrain along the old Somme, featuring a straightforward, undulating route designed for accessibility rather than technical challenge. The event's appeal lies in its practical format, enabling pairs of varying abilities to establish their own pace, from children in the shorter races to seasoned competitors in the longer event.
