About this race
Bike and Run de La Teste de Buch starts pairs from Plaine des Sports Moga in La Teste-de-Buch, Gironde, on France’s Atlantic coast. It is a bike-and-run race where two teammates share one mountain bike. One person runs while the other rides, and they can swap roles as needed. The event typically occurs in late winter or early spring, with a race-day schedule including bib pickup, bike-park setup, a briefing, and a late-morning start.
Runners select a short format of approximately 11 km or a longer format around 20 to 22 km, varying by edition. Both formats commence with an 800 m loop on the stadium track for the initial relay runner, then proceed onto natural paths within and surrounding the forest of La Teste-de-Buch. The race is suitable for experienced athletes aiming to manage quick transitions and pacing, yet it accommodates amateurs trying the duo format for the first time. Helmets are mandatory for both teammates throughout the race, only mountain bikes are permitted, and free parking is provided at the Plaine des Sports Moga site.
