About this race

Boucle de la Tourlandry is a running weekend held in early December around La Tourlandry in Chemille-en-Anjou, Maine-et-Loire, western France. This is an all-terrain local series offering trail and road options of approximately 10 km, 12.5 km, 17 km, and a long course of 25 to 26 km. The event also features a 13 km night trail, with participants starting with headlamps in winter conditions. The trail routes traverse forests, fields, dirt, and mud, demanding good grip and footing alongside speed. The longer race is described by winner Margot Garnier as rolling rather than particularly hilly. Local runner Anthony Piet has won the main men's race multiple times and set a course record. The night race presents its own challenges; one edition saw the initial declared winners disqualified after taking a wrong turn in darkness and fog, resulting in Clément Abélard's victory. Approximately 800 runners completed the event in a recent edition. The race is distinct from the nearby Hydrome trail held a few weeks prior.
