Boucles de Maguelone - Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone 2027

The Boucles de Maguelone begins and ends at the Alain Mimoun athletics stadium in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, south of Montpellier. This is a two-day event featuring a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, Nordic walking, and children’s races, suitable for serious runners, walkers, teenagers, and younger children. The 5 km race is open to participants aged 14 and up, the 10 km and Nordic walk to those 16 and up, and the half marathon is for adults. Over 1,400 participants are anticipated for the entire event. Saturday is dedicated to younger participants at the stadium, with children’s races of 800 m, 1.5 km, and 2.4 km for ages 7 to 13; these races do not have official timing or rankings. Sunday features the main trail races, including the 21.1 km half marathon, on a flat course between the Mediterranean Sea and the ponds near Maguelone. The route crosses the grounds of Maguelone Cathedral, passes the Salines, and may bring runners close to flamingos by the ponds. Now in its 35th edition, the race is a well-established local event.
