Broken Race is a road race held annually in early April in Aubergenville, Yvelines, west of Paris. It takes place in a public park and features two distinct challenges: a 24-hour race on a 1 km circuit and a 30 km race consisting of 30 laps. Solo participants are welcome, alongside relay and team entries.
The 1 km loop is situated within the grounds of the Château du Vivier, with a section extending beyond its limits. This means the 24-hour race involves continuous laps of the same confined course. The 30 km event begins at 9 AM and includes 1,900 meters of elevation gain, presenting a significant challenge beyond its stated distance. The race champions a charitable cause with the slogan “Running to serve.” Organizers characterize the event's spirit as “brutal, aggressive, and outside the codes.”
