Calades de Gordes - Veloroc is a mountain-bike event held in Gordes, a hilltop village in the Vaucluse and one of France’s official “most beautiful villages.” This is its 31st edition. It is structured around marked VTT routes, not a single fixed race distance. Options range from a 12 km discovery ride for families and younger riders to a 54 km black route with 1,540 m of climbing.
The routes follow local tracks near Gordes and incorporate part of the Grande Traversée du Vaucluse, offering views toward Mont Ventoux, Mourre Nègre, the Dentelles, and the Alpilles. Riders can extend routes to create 20 km, 30 km, 38 km, or 54 km options. Aid stations are available along the course, but participants must bring their own bottle or eco-cup as none are provided at the stops. The event also features marked 7 km and 10 km family walks, alongside simple ride-and-meal packages, attracting serious mountain bikers, e-bike riders, families, and walkers on the same day.
