Caminada des Vignes is a spring tasting walk and non-timed trail event through the vineyards near Monein, in France's Béarn region. Participants select 8, 11, or 14 km routes, all designed as modular loops, making the day more about choosing the right distance and appreciating the vineyard setting than racing against time.
The routes traverse Domaine Montesquiou and share common segments, with the flexibility to determine the final distance while on the course. Aid stations offer wine tastings from the cellars, and participants should bring a glass. The event also features children's races and a communal meal, and it is associated with the Calandreta school of Lescar. Now in its 10th edition, it feels like a local tradition rather than a singular vineyard walk.
