The Campus Urban Race in Brest guides student teams across the city's higher-education campuses. The Kergaradec area serves as a focal point for the route and the post-race gathering. This inter-campus running challenge, organized by students and the Brest Open Campus Bureau des Sports, offers 5 km and 10 km or 6 km and 12 km options, varying by edition. Participants are primarily students, trainers, and campus groups, differing from typical road-race participants. Recent editions have seen over 200 runners, with one exceeding 250 students.
The course connects partner schools around Brest, directing runners through or near various campuses rather than a single park loop or city circuit. Seven Brest campuses have competed, fostering a school-spirit atmosphere distinct from standard open-entry runs. Over 50 volunteers support the event along the routes. The Brest Open Campus village featured a photo booth for team gatherings before and after the race. The event concludes at Uni XP in Kergaradec with awards and a closing party, blending athletic competition with student social activities.
