About this race
The Canathlon de l'Ourcq begins at the Passerelle des Jardins Perdus on the Ourcq Canal in Aulnay-sous-Bois, northeast of Paris. This summer aquathlon involves athletes swimming, then transitioning to a run while the clock continues. The event features two timed races: Canathlon S, covering 6.5 km, and Canathlon M, covering 10 km.
Villepinte Aulnay Triathlon, with support from the Aulnay town hall sports department, organizes the race. Participants can compete individually or as a two-person relay team, with one person swimming and the other running. The race adheres to French Triathlon Federation rules and is listed on the FFtri calendar. Its notable distinction is being the first aquathlon held on the Ourcq Canal.
