About this race
At Parc de Sceaux, this Virade de l’Espoir race morning features short, accessible running and walking events for Vaincre la Mucoviscidose. The program begins early, with a 5 km race at 9:30, a 1.5 km race five minutes later, a 5 km walk at 9:45, a 10 km race at 10:00, followed by 5 km jogging and a family jog before midday.
The event was created by volunteers from Vaincre la Mucoviscidose to raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis, described by the organizers as the most common serious genetic disease in childhood. Every registration fee goes to the association. The setup includes separate routes for the 10 km, 5 km, 1.5 km, walking, jogging, and family events. There is also a practical eco aspect: bibs are rented and returned at the finish, and runners can drop used running shoes in an Ecobox in the event village.
