Runners ascend alongside the Papang cable car line in Saint-Denis, Réunion, on a short but steep course organized by DENIV. The race centers on a 3.7 km climb from the Chaudron station to the Bois-de-Nèfles terminus, featuring 270 m of elevation gain, with past editions held in April.
The primary objective is to complete as many uphill runs as possible within six hours. Only the ascents are timed, distinguishing it as a repeat-climb event rather than a typical out-and-back race. The event is limited to 250 participants, with solo runners and two-person relay teams competing on the same climb.
