About this race
At Château de Chantilly, athletes race within the grounds of a historic French castle, not on a closed-off city course. The festival takes place over a June weekend in the Oise region, offering participants a choice between triathlon, duathlon, open-water swimming, and running, with multiple distances available instead of a single fixed challenge. It caters to mixed groups: serious triathletes can compete intensely, while amateurs, families, and friends can select a shorter format and still participate in the same weekend.
The courses incorporate the castle grounds, gardens, village, canal, and adjacent forest. Runners remain within the historic estate, swimmers utilize the Grand Canal, a 2.5 km section along the River Oise, and cyclists travel through Chantilly Forest. Riders also pass the House of Sylvie, a small 17th-century hunting lodge constructed for King Henry IV. Beyond the races, the event village features live music, food and drink, children's activities, and yoga, providing entertainment for spectators while they await the finish.
