Chavey'NoZ is a local running event held in Chanoz-Châtenay, located in France's Ain department. Participants can select from three distances: approximately 7 km, 12 km, and just over 21 km. This variety caters to both short-distance runners and those seeking a half-marathon-like challenge. The race is organized by the Sou des écoles Chanoz-Châtenay/Chaveyriat, connecting it directly with the local school community.
The event offers a village-race atmosphere, distinct from a large urban event. One earlier edition saw 130 participants, with distinct winners for each of the short, middle, and long courses. Previous results note Quentin Debourg winning the long course, Alain Petit the middle distance, and Oscar Bouvet the shortest route. Anne-Charlotte Bory was the top female finisher and seventh overall in the middle-distance race. Spectators have attended in costume, and the race provides live GPS tracking via an app, allowing friends to monitor runners as they compete.
