About this race
Civrac en Foulées takes place in mid-April in Civrac-de-Dordogne, Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The event features trail running, hiking, and road running, with options of 2 km, 10 km, 14 km, and 23 km. The 23 km route is a semi-marathon-style trail covering 350 m of elevation gain; a headlamp is advised for this distance. A 14 km trail offers 150 m of climbing, a 10 km hike has 80 m of elevation gain, and a flat 2 km children’s trail requires an accompanying adult.
The routes traverse four communes: Civrac-sur-Dordogne, Sainte-Florence, Saint-Vincent-de-Pertignas, and Mérignas. Participants follow marked paths and are instructed to return to the last marker and notify organizers if a marking is missing. Les Foulées de l'Île organizes the event, adhering to the National Commission for Off-Road Races rules and appearing on Gironde’s off-road race calendar. Its slogan, “Run, breathe, savor!”, reflects the nature-focused character of this local event, bringing together families, hikers, junior runners, and trail runners.
