The Comtrade Belgrade Marathon begins and ends at Republic Square, placing each race in the heart of Belgrade’s historic center. The event offers a 42.195 km marathon, a 21.1 km half marathon, a relay half marathon, and a 10K through the downtown area. This setup accommodates full-distance runners, novices, clubs, colleagues, and friends participating together in the half marathon. The marathon is for participants aged 18 and older, with a 6-hour time limit. The half marathon is open to those aged 14 and up with parental consent for minors, and has a 3-hour time limit.
The course is a quick urban run through Serbia’s capital, crossing old streets in Stari Grad, broad avenues, riverside paths along the Sava and Danube, and crossing bridges like Ada Bridge. The marathon provides a wider exploration of Belgrade’s landmarks and contemporary neighborhoods, featuring extended flat sections interspersed with river and bridge segments. The half marathon follows a single loop through central Belgrade and along the riverbanks. The relay shares the same start and race environment for teams. Event logistics include bib collection at Belgrade Fair, official support, and hydration stations provided by POWERADE and ROSA, contributing to its status as a significant spring road race in the Balkans.
