About this race
The Corrida de Noël d'Issy-les-Moulineaux is a December road race held in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris in Hauts-de-Seine. It is structured as a holiday race day with multiple options: runners can select from 10 km, 5 km, 3 km, 1.5 km, a 3 km Christmas walk, or themed runs featuring Santas, reindeer, snowmen, and elves. The 10 km race holds a French Athletics Bronze label and has previously attracted nearly 4,000 participants.
The event started in 1977 as the Cross de Noël, then was renamed Corrida de Noël d'Issy in 1982. Its most notable tradition involves many runners in Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus costumes, alongside club athletes, families, walkers, and those aiming for personal bests. The event draws a large field for a local road race, with over 12,000 participants recorded and around 14,000 anticipated at one edition. The race also has a competitive aspect, as André Ozanne set a French record there with a time of 44:57.
