Corrida de Schœneck is a 10 km race in Schœneck, run mostly through the cross-border forest area between France and Germany. It is a small field event, with around sixty runners, and it uses a nature course rather than city streets or a track.
About 90 percent of the route follows forest paths between Moselle and Saar. The circuit is fairly runnable, but it still climbs about 200 meters, and the false flats in the eighth and ninth kilometers make the late part harder than the distance suggests. Runners rate the course highly; Raphaël Hopfner won the men's race in 38:15, while Aurélie Kinder won the women's race and finished 11th overall.
