About this race
Corrida du Pic is a solidarity night race through the streets of Saint-Romain-le-Puy, a village in France's Loire department. The series has five editions, and its race-night proceeds support two local associations: Les Yeux du Coeur and Charlélie Aime La Vie. It offers options for different participants, including a timed 7 km race for licensed runners or those with a medical certificate, and an open version for those who wish to participate without competitive effort.
The main 7 km route consists of two 3.5 km loops through the village center. A distinctive feature is the passage along the main shopping street, where decorated shop windows illuminate the course after dark. Open participants may complete up to two laps, while children have their own races starting in the late afternoon. The event also includes walking routes of 7, 14, and 20 km, accommodating walkers, families, casual runners, and competitors before the night race begins.
