Corrida ensoa - Saint-Maixent-l'École 2027

The Corrida de l'ENSOA is an eight-kilometer night road race in Saint-Maixent-l'École, centered on the National School for Active Non-Commissioned Officers and the surrounding town. It opened to civilian runners for the first time during the school's sixtieth anniversary, and nearly 1,500 people participated, transforming a military-school event into a large local competition. The route crosses the military quarter and city streets, offering an urban pace that Thomas Carrère characterized as fast with frequent accelerations. Carrère won the men's race, with Guillaume Belgy using it as a speed workout before a future trail race and David Chamard taking third place; Sophie Steunou won the women's race, followed by Marina Roux and Jenyfer Lacorte. Organizers presented the race as a demonstration of the school's and city's close connection, with the night setting providing a welcoming, city-center version of a military-school corrida for participants.
