The Cocorrida d'Yssingeaux is a Christmas-themed night run held in the streets of Yssingeaux during December. The adult race begins at 7:00 PM. The primary event is an 8 km urban corrida covering the town center, featuring 100 meters of elevation gain across two circuits. Participants can compete individually or in teams of five, with approximately 450 to 500 runners typically participating.
The course remains within the city streets, giving the event the atmosphere of a town festival rather than a secluded road race. Christmas colors and costumes are encouraged for the evening, and the second edition saw streets filled with participants in costume. Separate races are held for children, preceded by a warm-up on Place de la Victoire. Sapaudia Auvergne organizes the event, utilizing sport to promote bone marrow donation and support individuals with disabilities.
