About this race
Cosy Trail Blanc - Villarodin-Bourget is a trail race held in the evening at La Norma in the French Alps, organized by the La Norma ski club in February. Participants begin at 6:30 PM in front of the Tourist Office; a headlamp is required as the course enters cold conditions after sunset. The primary option is a 9 km route with 400 m of elevation gain, open to participants aged 16 and up. A 3 km route with 120 m of elevation gain is also available for runners aged 10 and over.
The race emphasizes snow conditions over speed running: the 9 km course is entirely snow-covered, with sufficient elevation to constitute a genuine mountain effort. Bibs are distributed before the start in front of the Tourist Office, and the field is limited to 100 participants. The event attracts runners prepared for winter conditions, and the entry list has featured professional trail runners Ludovic Pommeret, The Detienne, and Arthur Joyeux Bouillon. Finishers receive refreshments at the finish line after completing the challenging course.
