Courir pour le Plaisir is a small Paris race series focused on park running, not large urban events. Its races are Trail Le Pouce, a 13.5 km run in the Bois de Vincennes, La Course du Dodo, a 6.5 km run in Parc Montsouris, and a 10 km road race also in the Bois de Vincennes. Each event also offers a short 1.5 km to 1.65 km race for children.
The atmosphere is intentionally relaxed; the name translates to running for the pleasure of running, and the event is described as welcoming to all skill levels. Benoit César is associated with the series, which also has a charitable and solidarity focus, supporting the French Association for Lowe Syndrome. Trail Le Pouce has reached its 12th edition, and the rules encourage waste reduction by eliminating race cups.
