The Course de la Saint-Valentin is a Valentine-themed run held in Paris’s Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, 19th arrondissement, beginning at 10:00 AM. Front Runners de Paris, an LGBTQ+ and friendly running club in the Paris region, organizes it. The event has been a fixture on the local running calendar since 2000. Participants can choose between a 10 km solo race or a 5 km duo race, with the duo format requiring partners to run together throughout.
The course is contained within Buttes-Chaumont Park: the 10 km consists of four laps, and the 5 km consists of two laps. A unique feature is “Operation Cupid,” which pairs individuals seeking to run the 5 km as a duo but lacking a partner. The race also offers non-binary registration and podiums, accepts transgender runners based on their declared gender, and holds a charity raffle benefiting an association that supports LGBTQ+ causes or individuals facing hardship.
