Course Denfert 2027

Course Denfert is a trail and walking event held in early March in Saint-Maixent-l'École, a town in the Deux-Sèvres department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in western France. The program offers short, accessible off-road distances: a 9 km trail for beginners, a 19 km trail for those accustomed to longer distances, and a 13 km walk with a non-timed option for participants who prefer a leisurely outing. The routes combine town and nature, passing through Saint-Maixent-l'École's medieval streets and near its abbey. This integration connects the event to the town, rather than being solely a course set in the countryside. Running Club St Maixent organizes the race. Recent editions have attracted just over 100 participants, contributing to a local club atmosphere rather than a large-scale race feel.
