The Course des Kangourous, an evening running and walking event in Maintenon and Pierres (Eure-et-Loir), is organized by L'ESMP Athlétisme. The program offers options for families and regular runners: a 1 km parent-child relay, an untimed 6 km walk or run, a 12 km solo run, a 12 km relay, and a 12 km Nordic walk. The 12 km races consist of two loops, require a headlamp or chest light, and include competitive timing and podiums. All race profits benefit the Telethon charity, and this edition is announced as the race's final one.
The course is designed to showcase Pierres, Maintenon, and the castle gardens after dark, with sound surprises along the route. The race village is located at Salle Polyvalente Maurice Leblond, providing bib collection, free bag drop, and a childcare area. Mehdi from Sportevents 28 will be announcing, results will be posted shortly after the races, and participants will receive a snack and buffet. Awards are presented to the top men and women in the 12 km solo races and Nordic walk, and to the top men's, women's, and mixed teams in the 12 km relay.
