Course du Lac in Bourg-Blanc is a small Breton race day built around muddy paths, local runners, and a full field of 700 competitors. Courir à Bourg-Blanc runs the event from the Salle omnisport de Creach leué, with two nature races: a 9.5 km option and a longer 17 km option. Walkers are part of the same day too, with 9 km, 12 km, and 15 km circuits offered alongside the races.
The courses use off-road paths around Bourg-Blanc, and wet weather can matter here: heavy rain has forced organizers to reroute sections when some tracks were no longer passable. The shorter race can draw fast local rivalry, including runners such as Antoine Clavier from the local cycling club and Maxence Jaouen, while the longer race has local favorites too. Flavie Guiavarch gives the women’s race a local thread after finishing third in a previous edition.
