The Course du Pays d'Apt Luberon is a trail running event held in Gargas, Vaucluse, southern France, within the Luberon Regional Natural Park. Taking place in mid-January, it offers runners multiple mountain-style distances: a 9 km option, the 19 km Trail du Cluyer, and the 39 km Trail des 3 Cols. A timed 7 km walk, the Marche du Château, is also available.
The courses ascend above Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, requiring significant effort even for the shorter distances. The 9 km course features approximately 400 m of elevation gain, the 19 km has about 800 m, and the 39 km includes around 1,500 m. The longest route crosses three passes—Travignon, Le Cluyer, and La Liguière—making it suitable for experienced trail runners or those seeking a challenge beyond 30 km. The event accommodates walkers and less experienced participants with a discovery race and the 7 km timed walk, aligning with its slogan: “Viens voir du pays!”
