In Forbach, Moselle, the Course internationale des pères et mères Noël is a Christmas-season run encouraging participants to wear Santa Claus or Mother Christmas costumes. It begins and ends at Parc du Schlossberg, starting mid-afternoon, and is organized by Collectif Run with the city of Forbach. The event, still in its early editions, offers two options: a 5 km route suitable for families, children, walkers, and runners, and a more challenging 10 km trail for experienced runners. The 5 km Course aux Contes follows an urban path within the town and includes a refreshment stop. The 10 km Défi du Grinch ventures into the forest, featuring climbs and descents with 240 m of elevation change before returning to Forbach; this is the only timed race and is for participants over 16. Father Christmas will be at the finish with a gift, DJ Vincenzo will provide music, and one euro from each entry is donated to Forbike to help provide toys for children.
